If you’re like most people, you probably think of burning or pain with urination being an unavoidable consequence of a UTI. In reality, many urinary tract infections do not cause painful urination, and some patients with UTIs are completely asymptomatic
For a urology site
That didn't post first time round  >:(
Thanks Penguin,I've had that too in the past. Ironic really,I'm the least silent person you could get lol leukocytes have gone but still traces of blood  :-\

A slight tangent but I had silent thrush last year, would never have thought that possible either! Was swabbed ad a precaution for a slightly long period, it came back positive for thrush, I had no idea. So perhaps that's what you've got?

Haha me too,  and I'm such a wuss about everything! I'd last had thrush when I was a teenager, was away for the weekend with then boyfriend and we'd planned on sleeping together for the first time, and instead I spent a sleepless night going to and from the bathroom itching like crazy 🙈

Phoned surgery and all negative bar the blood traces,so I'm off to start the vagifem again, see if that stops it.

Good luck, have you got actual vagifem rather than the generic? They gave me vagirux and I gave up after 8 days of burning!!!

I need to call the doctor and ask them to change it to say that then, so I can give it another go. Bit of dry burny feeling going on, which I'm guessing is because I stopped the hrt for 6 days and my bits didn't like it.

The cheaper version doesn't seem to be as good a treatment as 'vagifem' or 'ovestin'  >:(

Nope.  There's one at Boots begins with a 'G' but can't remember  ::).  It will be on the website but 1 has to be over 50 and without periods for 1 year.

'sylc' and 'yes' have told webisites apparently.  I find KY jelly useful when necessary.  'vagisel' is available OTC.

Yes penguin ask your Dr to put vagifem specifically, don't think the pharmacists like it just because it's double the price and they only get paid x amount of money per prescription but just tell the dr it's causing you problems as it does for many of us

Will do. I didn't know it cost the pharmacy more, perhaps that is why my citalopram comes in so many different brands as they just get whatever is cheapest at the time.

Gina? Yep, I'm not eligible for that yet. I'll look up vagisel, haven't heard of that. I like sylc for the outside but when I have the little paper cuts that I get on one external bit I find it really stings so I was hoping for something more soothing.

'vagisel' won't replace oestrogen but it can help ease symptoms.

Went to meet friends at an antique fair followed by a trip to the supermarket.  I was surprised to get a large bunch of flowers and a tin of chocolates thrust into my hands by the Manager: DH and I had assisted a lady who was experiencing problems with her shopping and it had been noted  :o.   8)

Flowers now in a vase in a cool room, chocolates are like quality street mix but supermarket Brand - that's pudding sorted for a couple of weeks  8)
