Been to the dentist who has diagnosed infection deep in the lower gum where I've had an implant.  The implant is in situ, the tooth was removed 5 weeks ago and a very deep clean done.  Twice.  Two weeks apart.

Back to the salt mouth washes  :-X, Bonjela and ABs  >:( - which brings me to note that the Boots Pharmacist didn't quiz me on what I am already taking: I now read on the packet that I can't use indigestion remedies with this AB - and I take omeprazolol.  Also on a product I purchased yesterday there was no warning in BLACK about lactose - now I thought that lactose is a risky allergen?

No,you are definitely not, that is appalling,we had a front of shop woman who gave someone antihistamine without asking about high BP,the customer came back and the staff member given the boot, you could kill somebody with wrong or no questions asked

I wonder if there is a Code of Conduct, we have a friend who is a pharmacist so will ask.  Am not going to take the AB this evening.

As with much nowadays better to ask them yourself if you can take something given your own circumstances.

My husband has walked out of shops where a queue has been known to form behind me while i deal with something but better to bite the bullet at the time.

Thing is minusminnie, you can be prosecuted for handing out "behind the counter" medicine without asking all the appropriate questions,I was a pharmacy dispenser for my sins and we had monthly tests,to make sure we knew which medicines certain people can't and shouldn't take x

I didn't think that I needed to ask ...........  :-\.  Not my job, I'm on quite a concoction at times.  Duty of Care and all that.

Out of bed.  Dressed. Breakfast to hand.

I've been guilty of lying at a pharmacy counter if I know a medicine will make me feel better and they wouldn't issue it to me. ;) such as having a few Day Nurse to help me through a busy day with a bad cold. I'm on 9 different meds a day- 13 tablets a day and I now tend to think " sod it"  Everything has side effects and seems to react with something else so if I want an occasional ibuprofen I'll have one. I have a gung ho attitude to life.  I'm going to be dead in a couple of years anyway. ;D

Great so if i ask a pharmacy dispenser anything they should know rather than wait for them to ask me.  :)

Realise that but i find nowadays with a lot of things that it pays to be more proactive for yourself and others especially when it comes to welfare.  :)

They should definitely know, even the counter assistants should know, unless Boots doesn't give training 🤷‍♀️ some meds for instance can raise BP terribly and if you suffer from high BP already this can be fatal,it mostly applies to behind the counter meds but in pharmacies you're supposed to ask or advise even on paracetamol

Tnx.  The attitude was "Had a Doctor prescribed this you would have been told to stop statins and Omeprazol".  However, as this was a dental request the Pharmacist should have made sure that all queries had been covered.   :-\.  That's why they are Pharmacists!

Home.  Cuppa to hand.  Will take 1st two horse tablets  :o around noon .
