CLKD-Hope your mouth starts to feel better soon!   :foryou:

Morning shift done, dh texted that Maggie had not yet had her a.m. poop. Normally she goes right after she eats breakfast but the last couple of mornings she hasn't. I got home and took her for a walk. I knew she had to go because she was whining but she refuses to poop anywhere else but on our property.  We got home and she finally pooped in the yard. That had been over 12 hours since her last one. She doesn't seem constipated, I guess she doesn't need to go after she eats anymore.
It's raining now so I can't go out and do my outdoor chores.

Propranolol eases the heart rate.  Which is why they are a banned substance for athletes.

My spaniel had a regular poo routine: 1 in the garden first thing; a yellow poo in the field about an hour later then normal all day.  Eating triggers the evacuation reflex.

Has Maggie's diet altered?  Does she get veg.?

Taken more pain relief as the socket is sorer today.  I have laundry to hang out, once Antiques Roadtrip is over.

We've started cutting back on how much she gets for lunch. The breeder recommended she goes to 2 meals a day by the time she's 5 months.  I give her pumpkin once a day with a meal, and she gets fruit like apple, banana or pear. I've been trying different veggies but I haven't found the one she will eat.  We are giving two types of food, the one the breeder recommended (and gets kickbacks from the company for each order placed) That food is an all-breed, all stages food, and our vet was not impressed with it, she did some research on it and instead recommended giving her a good quality large breed puppy food.  I have 2 full bags of the one from the breeder and I just want to get rid of the bag on the go now, so we are mixing the two, half and half.

Of course the breeder will push what she a) knows will work and b) what she is being paid to promote.

Why not raw feeding?  Takes a while to get into a routine though remembering to get the tripe from the freezer the night B4  :-X  ;D.  Dogs seem to love it.  Then they want to give you a kiss ..............  :o

Dogs on the whole will cut back what they need to eat.  Most pups will cut out naturally their breakfast but I always gave mine a small piece of banana and two biscuits, if her gut was empty she would vomit bile.  No dog is the same.  Will U continue with 2 meals, certainly to avoid bloat in large dogs it is essential.

My friend leaves dried food down all the while so that her jack Russell can graze are required, he never over eats.  He never begs either.

Surely racoons will eat the dog food !  ;-)

We won't do raw, we don't have the freezer space and dd was taught in school to avoid giving raw diets, and our vet doesn't support it.  A friend of mine who got her golden from a breeder who at first, demanded his pups be fed raw has recently decided not to promote it as he found he can't control it.
Free feeding a Golden, is a disaster waiting to happen. They will eat anything, anytime.  I think 2 meals will be fine as she is getting training treats as well and we are increasing her breakfast and dinner portions.

The extra bags will go to our local shelter, not the raccoon!lol

Like Labs., many gun dogs will eat++.  With Labs it's been found that some Lines carry a Gene where they can't regulate hunger pangs.

Watching the Queen arriving at Northolt - never seen a hearse lit.  It takes about an hour and a bit to get to London.

Hungry but mouth doesn't taste right  :-\.  Fish and chips sound about 'right' .......... I could suck a piece of cod, OH I have fish fingers in the freezer  8)

Yes, the queens hearse is all lit up. She had her in-put into the design of it. The lights are so people can get a clear view of her coffin as she drives past. …..who knew! 💁🏼‍♀️

Just put my new vacuum away, no problems yet, unlike the shark, which is in OHs car and has been reduced to a car vacuum from now on.  ;D  That’ll teach it for not doing it’s job properly! 🤨

Morning.  Not really  :-\.  By last evening the soreness was intense, I laid awake most of the night waiting for infection to set in  :-\. Got up at 6.00 and took 'nurofen', slept until 9.30.  Breakfast to hand  ::). I daren't put my tongue into the socket .........

Otherwise, the aches and pains in m y body from being pulled about in That Chair have eased.  Going to take it steady again.  You can tell: toast and cuppa to hand ;-)

Take it easy CLKD, what an ordeal for you. Do you have antibiotics?

Took Mags for a nice walk after work, although she gets quite excited on the way home and she pulls.  Gotta work on that!
Did a bit of grocery shopping after watching the Queen's procession.

My friend has a very pully dog. Not a good combination with our very steep driveway when she brings him here, he's nearly pulled her down into the road a couple of times.

I am having a Bit of a Week. My mum (89, has dementia) accidentally scalded herself earlier this week and is currently in hospital and on a deprivation of liberty order. She's going to be assessed and it looks like she will either end up in a care home or at home with 24/7 care, either of which will be a massive relief as I have been saying for months that she isn't safe at home on her own and people are finally starting to agree.

Its horrendous isn’t it CLKD. My back tooth took ages to be pulled out, I totally freaked when I heard the dentist say to his nurse, Pass me the pliers plz. 😱😱😂 I sat there shaking! Not much bleeding tho, so that was good.
You have to take it easy incase you get dry socket. PLEASE be careful. Salt water rinses three times a day.
Took about a week for me to ‘get over’ it. But I’m a wimp anyway. 💁🏼‍♀️ ;D
I can’t seem to deal with anything wrong with my mouth, gets me down so bad!

Not doing much today, had a bad night, RLS back. Drive me mad all flipping night!   >:(

Morning shift done, having decaf and English muffin with strawberry rhubarb jam,  Mags is happily chewing on her split antler as I watch the live feed of the Queen lying in state and the mourners, out for morning walkies soon.
