I’ve learnt the hard way and do not google anything now. Problem is at the height of my health anxiety I googled pretty much everything so I have so much info in my brain that always points to the worst possible scenario 😟

I’ve come to the conclusion I’d of been dead months ago according to Dr. Google  ;D doesn’t make health anxiety any easier to live with though. As my doctor says health anxiety is very real & very debilitating  :'(

It’s good that your doctor has that attitude, I’ve met plenty that don’t 😖

My husband never asks why I feel like I do, he accepts even though he can't empathise.  To find a GP with that attitude is important: one that listens, takes on board that the person can't alter how they feel and treats accordingly rather than what he thinks should be the answer.

KAH
my first year of menopause my back pain was every day all day for a year. As I said saw specialist and doctors and had scans.

I truly believe it was menopausal related, but it took to the end of the year and something my doctor said to realised I didn’t help the problem.

July 2018 I had a hysterectomy still got my ovaries, four months later I started first with virginal atrophy and by Christmas back pains. When I had my operation I was told not to lift heavier then 10 kilograms. I took this to far and for too long. Which course my upper back to become weak. So then I went you YouTube and did all these exercises, and hurt my rib :o more pain.

My doctor put me with a exercise physiologist who gave me the right exercise to do. I recommend Pilates, it’s changed my life and stopped being a baby and started lifting and carrying stuff like I use too.
I still get my random pain but not constant and I can work (cleaner) with taking pills.

When I have a bad day, I continue like normal 15 minutes of Pilates every morning and 30 minutes walk. I just keep going, I’m scared to relax as I don’t want to go backwards again.

As my doctor says strong core equals a strong back.

It’s so easy to become too scared to do anything for fear of making yourself feel worse! I am fairly active, I walk the dogs for an hour every morning and then am on my feet all day (I’m a baker). IVe just re-started doing some gentle exercise in the hope it’ll help. At the moment it’s making the pain in my back slightly worse but I’m hoping once my body gets used to it again, it’ll help. I’m a member of Davina McCalls fitness program and there’s so many different exercises to choose from, I’ll focus on the core strength ones I think, sounds like it makes sense!

The great thing about core exercises as well as helping your back, I have abs  :)

In a month time you should notice that you’ll will feel stronger and be able to hold a plank for longer.
A plank is the best exercise you can do to build a strong core, I’ve been doing them for years.

At the start of the year it was recommended to me to do a side plank. I started with my knees still on the ground and couldn’t hold for long. When I good at these I did the next step side plank on toes and elbow. Would wobble everywhere and could only how for seconds. I’m now about 20-30 seconds each side and do this two times each side.

You will slowly get stronger and your body will benefit

When I first read this I wondered why picking up bits of wood would help  ;D
My exercise involves sheep/cow/horse poo and a wheelbarrow so I'm not on the right wavelength.

Ha ha, sorry about that if you google Pilates plank that should help you.
A good YouTube site or you can google Kalm Pilates. Nice slow Pilates. Be careful I did a YouTube Pilates with some young girl, it was full on and way to fast (I was jumping around in every direction) and damage my rib.
