The first few days of January I fill in my calendar with all the f1 dates and family birthdays, in that order  ::)

It's going to be odd this season with Bernie Ecclestone gone, he was a prickly character but I liked him, he was flipping good for his age too, must be the young wife  ;D shame Jenson retired he was my favourite.

This summer I'm looking forward to f1, tennis, cycling and British lions tour  :)

Pity that there isn't somewhere that we could meet up to watch it all  :D - will you get much done  ;D.  Glad to see the back of Bernie but interesting to see how this new Company 'runs' the caboodle.  Jenson was right to take a year out, though he was the answer to a clue in the Sat. Telegraph crossword  >:( so that wasn't well Editored!!!!

I've always enjoyed going on holiday but the last few years I get so stressed its put me off going anywhere new  :'( luckily we found a lovely apartment in France that we have visited a few times over the past couple of years, it's within walking distance of a lovely restaurant, bakers lots if bars and best of all it has U.K. TV , to lots of people tv on holidays is a no no but because I love my sport it's essential  ;D

I gave a BIG SIGH earlier when I read it  >:(.  At least I won't have to put up with poor fascilities on the camp site even though the view was stunning  ::).

I think it may be because the Council phaffed about so much regarding monetary coverage, they do plan to invite a weekend of bike events which was run concurrently with the Pro-tour over the years, which was fun for the school kids .......

The botheration of SKY and Wiggos 'prescription bottle' runs and runs ........ let it go, move on: I consider that anyone who has to take ABs or pain relief in general is having enhanced performance medication because when I have urine infections I can't move from the loo until the ABs take effect!

I totally agree about the British cycling saga, it's a non story, cyclists are tested and tested, get over it.

I also hate the way that Mo Farrah is being targeted, if we get a successful sports person the press will dig and dig hoping to find something to blacken their image  >:(

Home from our annual trip to France to watch the Paris - Roubaix race. This was our 5th year to watch and our 5th dry day  :) at the start if April watching an outside event who would think it possible.

We stood near a large building to watch part of the race, with our big welsh flag flying above us, apparently the commentator mentioned that you could tell it was windy by looking at our flag fluttering  ;D . We saw the race at three different locations usually it's four but they were too fast for us and so to make it back to the velodrome we had to miss one stop.

As usual a lovely weekend in France, although the m25 was a nightmare, I pity anyone who has to use that motorway regularly.

No didn't see any crashes  :o but the dust was awful on the cobbled stage we saw, it was soooo nice to get in the shower when I got back to the hotel  ;D

I recorded the whole race coverage, now we have six hours to watch

.........  there's an Austrian pro-race this week but it had to be shortened today due to heavy, thick snow on the route: WHIMPS  ;D : so no camera work, no helicopter shots - Ned and Rob have been working really hard to keep commentary going without any access to film etc..  Now showing some recorded footage from earlier even though they Race today has finished.

I saw the first stage yesterday, I didn't bother today when I heard Ned saying we are waiting for live pictures  ::)

Last Sunday was a nightmare, I wanted to watch the Grand Prix and the Amstel a Gold cycling  ;D
So far this season the f1 has been pretty boring, although I didn't see much of the race from China, I hope it improves when the get back to European tracks. But on a positive note Jenson is back for the Monaco GP, he's my favourite  :)
