Further on from ElizabethRose's earlier post, I bought Himself lots of cycling identification wraps from the Company that supply SOS bands/bracelets.  They fix on one side of the helmet, on his shoes, can wear a bracelet around his ankle - all with personal details on - so that if knocked unconscious he can be identified  ;).  SOS are recognised World Wide.

Ironic that many sports people go through dangerous races but get injrued/killed at leisure  :-\

Michael Schumacher springs to mind, I was not a fan of his when he was driving, but I feel for him and his family

........ what I know about head injury it is probably better as the family and fans can now grieve.  To have seen Nicky with contracted limbs due to brain contusion, not knowing anything, not being able to follow his sport and for his family to have to endure would have been dreadful  :'( - apparently one of the pro-women cyclists Mum's was knocked off and injured recently ...... forgot to post the Link  :(

It was Becky James mother who was knocked off her bike, the family posted photos of her bruised and swollen face for people to see  :-\
