Some of the best cycling shorts are from Lidl.  Mine must be about 10 years old now and have been worn and washed hundreds of times.  They are SO well made and breathable and very reasonable.  My hubby bought his from an expensive cycling shop and they cost 4 times what mine did.  they wore out ages ago and he doesn't ride as often as me.  ;D

Have a look-see at the route for the Tour of Britain - it may be near to you this week ending in London on Sunday!

Bought a cycling mag yesterday and apparently us ladies should NOT wear underwear under our cycling shorts because it makes the padding less effective.  I never knew that but if you think about it extra seams and gussets would make a difference.  You learn something every day!

If your a sports fan like me it's the best time of the year, Wimbledon, euros, Grand Prix on Sunday and Tour de France starts on the weekend.  This years tour starts in one of our favourite areas of France , we love the Normandy/Brittany area, with the Grand depart outside Mont Saint Michel it should be a beautiful backdrop.  We have watched the tour lots of times but this year we have visitors and can't make it so it'll be long afternoons on the sofa with cycling and tennis, I think I might move the small tv into the lounge and watch both together
