Weird Heart sensations
« on: May 25, 2020, 09:03:27 AM »

Hi Folks

I am currently 46 (47 this year).  I came off the pill 3 months ago due to discontinuation of the one I like (others don't suit me).  I am having some symptoms of peri, like dry skin and vaginal dryness, anxiety, some hot flushes at night and ectopic beats.  But in the last 3 months (since coming off the pill) I have started getting these weird heart sensations (not ectopics, I get those and know what they feel like).  Its hard to describe, but sometimes it feels like a zap, other times I might just notice 1 heart beat is more forceful (like a blood pressure change), sometimes it's so subtle I can't describe it.  These sensations can be brought on by talking and moving.. its totally weird and I am driving myself potty with them.  I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced these? If so did anything help?  I take magnesium, COq10, B12, B6 and Iron.  I also am on a beta blocker for a fast heartbeat.  I am wondering if HRT or bioidentical might help.
Many thanks

Hi! zaps are common for many reasons.  Quite strange sensations, mine are across my head.  Enough to make me go "OH!" then gone.  I take various medications for mental health.

I stopped my BB at the start of lock down [long story short] and this week noticed a strange, not unpleasant, feeling in my chest.  Like a fluttering ..........

Do read our threads about bladder issues and vaginal dryness.  Both can be treated with localised HRT and the sooner you try to ease symptoms the better.
