You can't catch it by just standing next to somebody, they have to either touch you, cough or sneeze over you

Non of that happened ........ we've all been healthy down here thus far but I feel guilty about breaking a rule meant to protect people.  I simply forgot.  It's easier keeping distance from strangers I've found  :-\

We can now meet with people from another household ........ doesn't say that we have to know those people  ;D (6 or less).  What happens when they need the loo  :o

I've just had a message from my younger sister, she tells me that her son is at his girlfriends tonight, then back home for a birthday BBQ tomorrow!!

If it were not for this forum, I would be thinking our house is the only one following the rules.  My daughter hasn't seen her boyfriend since the start of lockdown, and I have only seen my bf twice, for socially distanced hiking, since they relaxed the rules a couple of weeks ago.

Lots of hot, soapy water required then Jeepers.  Not a difficult thing to provide for everyone, plus wiping down handles, taps etc. once they have celebrated - whose birthday ?

Hello ladies.

My daughter and her partner live in Edinburgh and she sent a picture of them in a park enjoying glorious sunshine. She said this was allowed as the Lockdown rules in Scotland have been eased. As a senior civil servant it wouldn't do for her to be seen flouting the rules.
Would that some  English government employees thought the same!

Lots more businesses now open where I live and more people out and about today. Fingers crossed that COVID numbers don't skyrocket and we all have to lock ourselves away again.

Take care everyone.

K.

Jeepers the only thing I'm hanging onto is that the majority of people are following guidelines and that it's enough to prevent things spiralling. We can not control what other people do and when it's family it seems to hit home harder. My dd is a prime example!

Boris is relaxing the rules yet people are still in their 12 week isolation periods :steamed: my husband still has 5 weeks to go, so we won't be going anywhere or having anyone round.

Penguin yes it's like another world for us when everyone's talking about picnics and barbeques!

It's so scary, we're trying to shield / protect, and some people thinks it's over. There's  still a fair few deaths :'(. I dread it when Boris is going to make a statement. I went shopping the other night and the reduced trolley came out, I have never seen anything like it in my life,  they came from nowhere and it was everyman for himself, honestly it was like feeding piranhas! :bang:

That's the fault of the Store Penguin .......... it's up to the Managers to control herd mentality.  A note to the MD maybe?
