Hi patsie.  Like you I also get a bit stingy the next day but one thing you mentioned might be your answer.  Sounds like your urine is causing the soreness.  I find after urinating, the stinging starts up but after an hour or so, the pain starts to dissipate.  What seems to help is washing with COOL water right after going to the loo.  Good luck and hope this might help.

So make the appt which you can cancel nearer the time?  Make a record of symptoms?

Do you mean that you are using the Vagifem for 3 days continually, maybe try spreading it to every 3rd and then every 4/5th nights?  Or every night if that helps.  Yes and Sylc products can help the outer lip regions too.

Birdie if it was the fillers in Vagifem would it still cause issues after a year?  I seem to finally (xing fingers) have adjusted to vagifem after 6 mos. of daily use but like Patsie, still have external issues.  Strange this VA....

CLKD - I use the vagifem and cream every 3rd night

Whatsupwiththis - not sure how I cud clean with cool water when at work irs a bit difficult in the ladies! Will certainly try at home

I am getting a bit exasperated that after a year the area is still sore.  It's definitely affected me as I don't seem to be able to relax as I worry when I go out say to dinner with friends that I can't enjoy myself as it's all I think about is the soreness

You need to use it more often for 3 weeks.  To see if it makes symptoms easier.  If not, maybe consider 'ovestin'.

Patsie it might be that you need to up Vagifem.  I started off at every 3rd night but was going thru hell with external discomfort.  My GP insisted I use it daily and eureka...finally relief.  I also use estrogen cream externally.  It's such a difficult road to navigate...if we were male, there would be a definitive solution.  Sad...

I used ovestin every day for a month and then alternate nights now.  It can be a depressingly long process.  When it's bad it's all that you can think of.

I found vagifem ramped up my symptoms and resulted in awful external burning. I was swapped to estriol and everything settled down, so for me vagifem didn't suit, which is a shame as it is really convenient.

Could have been the fillers?
