After losing my beloved Georgie last year, after 11 wonderful years I have finally decided to bring another fur baby home.  Its been difficult and gosh never thought losing a pet coul dbe so sad, and so influential in ones mental state.  After a lot of thinking and to and fro with myself, I went to see a pup a couple of weeks ago.  I suddenly felt an overwhelming love that I lost when Georgie left so suddenly.  This little girl is just sweet as a button and is now 17 days old.  Come 21st December I hope we will be on the sofa watching rubbish TV, keeping warm along with my rescue cat.  For once I am looking forward to xmas (even though I dont celebrate it)

 :D :)

Blossom22, that's lovely news, so pleased you have found a new companion.  We lost our 13 year old dog in May and i'm still devastated, he was my best friend and I miss him so much.
Your Christmas will be extra special with a new member of the family by your side.

:'(. but she's landed on her feet stellajane.

Our neighbours' cat appears on the lounge windowsill most afternoons about now  ;D either for our bed where he sleeps for several hours or more likely, for munchies.  Though he wanted meat this morning and went off in a huff the I didn't have any  ::)

CLKD good to see you are still in the group!

I did go for a Staffie Blue, but was on a waiting list for them to be born.  3 boys and 3 girls.  All the boys were or are blue, the girls are like a champagne colour.  Not to be deterred I went to see them and saw her, and just held her in my arms and it was just wonderful.  So pick her up on 21st December.  Its exciting times again

That's lovely Blossom. I've just done the same as you. I lost my 14 year old Jack Russell & hubby & I said we'd wait 2 months or so but after just 2 weeks I missed her so much I couldn't wait that long.
We now have a 10 week old cross westie/cairn & my world has been turned upside down, I'm exhausted, I worry all the time about him, I'm for ever cleaning up after him.....would I have it any other way??
CERTAINLY NOT, I love the little fella.
You will have a wonderful Christmas with your little girl.
