Thank you TC ,i am sorry too that you we given the wrong thing too, my daughter has been prescribed tablets of a much higher strength than she should have had in the past, for hwe Crohns disease
Also when she started on HRT she was give it for someone who had had a hysterectomy
These mistakes were both by young female drs ,new to out surgery and instead of checking with more experienced Drs just went ahead and prescribed what they thought was right
The Dr i saw on Wednesday was horrified i had been give Estrogel for vaginal use
I hope he had a word with her later

So true.   My thing with eastrogel and estriol was the  reverse to Jaycee.   I was given estriol instead of eastrogel. I queried it over phone. Receptionist checked with gp and and said "doc says it's the same thing. Its estradiol rub it in  your forearm". When I protested she wouldnt listen to me.
. I was so mad I went in there with the estriol.  She repeated what doc said.about applying it to forearm. So I held up the package , whipped out the applicator  and said "what, with this".

Obvs once she (sheepishly)  took it into doc he  wrote a,scrip for eastrogel . But what gets me   is the arrogance of not checking when I first queried it.
