Never wipe your front bottom with Sphagnum moss. Never. Ever.
It may look nice a fluffy it you are caught short of a walk in the countryside, but it sticks like superglue and gets
everywhere. You will be picking itchy pieces of it out two years later.

( In just know some of you are going to try it now).

No, we're not that daft 
Similar results when you pluck pheasants in the bathroom, still clearing up down 2 years later - but at least from the bathroom not my backside. I'm not completely mad  . OH can't resist a bargain so when pheasants were £1 a brace he bought 10 braces. No CH then in a freezing drafty farmhouse but the bathroom was lovely and warm as that had a storage heater. Down gets everywhere.

We used to throw them into the freezer in the feather, they peel off as the bird defrosts ;-).  Another trick is to secure a hessian sack or black bag and pluck into it by holding the bird neck downwards inside the bag.

I tried to fill a bean bag with 'chips' once - in the bath, they stuck to everything: the dog, me, the edge of the bath, ceiling
