Hi,
I am in very late peri, nearly 49y, not (yet) on HRT, periods many months apart (if ever again), and have likely generally low estrogen by now (but probably fluctuating still at times). I have had many symptoms but since a few weeks ago, hot flushes and night sweats receded, sleep has amazingly improved (for now). Hot flushes are now "replaced" by chills, and muscles sometimes are like "jelly" when I walk or run - running is real "fun" at times. I wonder whether I am approaching menopause now and hormone generation has "packed in" completely at times? Also had some what seem like cortisol surges, but they are less frequent now thankfully. Had thyroid, vitamin D and iron tested earlier in 2018, all fine at the time but thyroid may make sense to retest. Has anyone noticed a switch of symptoms when approaching the menopause such as being really cold intolerant at times only to switch back to "normal", and then post meno to the symptoms they had during the peri phase? Thanks. AG
