I stayed near there years ago when it was the former Yugoslavia.It is very pretty & the church is on an island in the middle of the lake (don't think I went to see the church though).

A friend went about 10 years ago.  Really enjoyed it.  As I did when I got as far as Isola Bella ........ I was 18  :o.

Gluten free is the in thing for some reason. At my spanish group the hostess makes little gluten free cakes and sets them on the table with a flourish saying “these are all gluten free” but almost whispers it like she has made something extra special and very rare and then the others all ooh and aah like they've discovered some magical treat.  It just gets on my nerves!  ;D

Bet some of the kids across the UK are enjoying their days off due to Schools being closed 'cos of snow.  Didn't happen in my day  ::)

My doctor suggested that i try cutting out things as i keep bloating on occasions. Hence why i've mostly cut gluten out. Not good at keeping to it though. It is an expensive fad if you view it that way.

How do you cope on holiday abroad?  Take safe foods with you?

Cruise companies are excellent,you just pre warn them and hey presto,they make menus for you

That's an enclosed environment.  B&B, Hotels etc. or simply dropping into a Cafe  :-\
