These days most B&Bs, hotels etc., ask on booking. Where we are staying, in Dorset mid month, asked if we had any special dietary requirements. It is very normal now.

Oh I manage in the UK.  It's those travelling abroad that might find dietary requirements hard work  ;)

Dorset.  Haven't been there for years - postcard please?

Had croissants and coffee today for the first time in weeks......burping, bloated and anxious now for the first time in weeks! Should have stuck to porridge....

P.S. To one of the former posts.  Going to Bratislava the capital of Slovakia via Ryan Air.   Hotels are very cheap vs western europe. Booked one called The Loft. We like swimming in warm lakes/Lidos and there are plenty of those in the parks around the town. Living in Scotland we crave warmth!

My sudden deep burping is cheap entertainment for grandchildren. They find it hilarious and i get told to say pardon.

We are going to Wales for a long weekend in a few weeks time. No longer have to pay going over the bridge to get to see family there. Staying in an airbnb for the third time.

They only took the toll off the Severn Bridge last December 2018.

It was for both bridges which still had tolls.
The newer one is better as you are not so attracted with less spaces to look over the side ! So you may be okay on that one.
That french bridge looks much like the first Severn one.
I used to get the Aust ferry over the Severn years ago with my parents to visit relations before the first bridge was built.

I know the bridge it's near Honfleur, it's two humps like a rollercoaster  ;D . We came home over the Severn bridge two weeks ago, it's the first time ever I wasn't digging around in my bag to find my purse and could admire the view  ;D

When I was little my dad scared the bejeezuz out of me as he said that we drove over all the bumps on the forth road bridge in Edinburgh 😆
I loved my stay in wales(Chepstow) but it used to put £6 onto my shopping bill to go to Asda in Bristol every week, glad it's stopped
