Hi All,

Does anyone know any specialist who believe in Progesterone for women who have had a hysterectomy As cannot do Estrogen by itself

Susanne Somers in the US wrote in her books about how most doctors only give oestrogen post-hysterectomy, and that this doesn't address the therapeutic value of progesterone, particularly in relation to balancing oestrogen.

I think it comes from the assumption that keeping oestrogen in check from causing overgrowth only applies to the womb. It ignores breast tissue and organs such as the liver and ovaries as oestrogen exists all over the body, yes in much smaller amounts but if it's not kept under control the ratio is still off and can cause all manner of side effects.
