Thanks Dotty - I didn't see that section. Maybe things will be revised soon as it would be good if the Mirena can be in place for 5 years for hrt purposes.

Dancing Girl - that's ok. Although it does say it's off licence but then states it's 5 years. I am on an other menopause forum and a GP put on a screenshot of a document saying it's now 5 years for a mirena used as HRT.

I have had my Mirena for two years now and for HRT purposes, I do hope it is now 5 years as although not a painful experience I wouldn't mind be able to delay it!

Hi Lisa. Not painful no. That was the sixth one I've had inserted. It's awkward and you want to stay very still because you feel vulnerable. I'm sure you will be fine. I'm sitting here with awful tinnitus tonight and just praying it'll all start sorting itself soon. Been so tired lately too along with the headaches. They said it might be 12 weeks before I get better. I'll report back as the weeks go by x
