Weight increase
« on: January 18, 2018, 09:10:36 PM »

I'm on week 9 of Femseven Conti and I seem to have really piled weight on . It's just around my tummy. I feel like I'm swollen.
I'm also on mirtazapine which can cause weight gain. I had lost 2 stone a year ago due to anxiety, I was 7 stone. I'm now 10 stone . Is there anything I can do.

My doctor told me that she doesn't want me to stress as she is happy that I'm feeling better in myself.

Hi Burchers

I havent an answer to that one yet.  I have put on a stone in weight in the last couple of months(christmas dosent help) although I am exercising it is not shifting at the moment and it is mostly around my middle.  I did read that low oestrogen can cause weight to stick.

I will keep experimenting and if i find something that works I will let you know.  7 stone was very thin, it sounds like you are nearer to the size that you want to be albeit a bit lighter.  it will come back.x

My son is on mirtazapine and really struggles to keep his weight under control so I would guess that coupled with a time in our lives where weight gain is common, probably explains your experience.  I would consider changing the mirtazpine as there are quite a few alternatives out there.
