Evening bloating
« on: January 11, 2018, 08:25:43 PM »

I can't pretend to start the day with a washboard stomach, but  by the time I sit down in the evening i look 6 months pregnant!  Does anybody else suffer like this?   Am concerned at the moment as have strange bladder irritation going on, but to be honest this bloating issue has been happening for ages.

Yep! It's very common at any age, used to get it when I was younger as well.

It's linked to food, either an intolerance of something or taking into much air when eating. Being anxious also makes us swallow air more as well as not chewing food properly if there are dental issues or stress.

Try to work out what in your diet could be causing it. Since having my gallbladder removed if I over do any fat it blows up like a balloon! Certain FODMAP foods are triggers as well, these are particular sugars in all sorts of food. Google it and try to cut down on these foods and see if it helps.

Plus like everything, starts sagging with age and can happen to our digestive systems. However, if bloating is persistent (i.e. not going up and down each day) then this should be checked out with the doc.

You are not alone.....

We could be Sparkle! I get fed up being controlled by my digestive system sometimes, it's never been perfect even from a baby! Still I guess everyone has their 'thing" whether it be headaches, stomach etc

I find small amounts of food is better and fairly plain food as well, just meat/fish, small baked potato and steamed veggies seems to keep it happy now.  It's lovely when it does work properly but the slightest thing seems to get it off kilter....it really does have a mind of its own lol...

Try half a glass of kefir milk in the mornings ladies you'll notice a difference in your digestion in a week it doesn't half settle your gut it's jam packed with good bacteria leaves probiotics standing and also much cheaper xx
