This is a symptom that i havn't had in a long time and really thought it was gone, but I'm really anxious and scared with chest pain. I know i've had heart checked out over years but when it strikes it really floors me. I'm so scared. just took half an emergency tablet (xanax) hopefully this will calm things down soon. why do symptoms appear out of the blue like this. My stomach is acting up a bit too so could be just acid. anyone else get these awful scary chest pain/soreness. Sorry for rant but really feeling scared

Excuse my ignorance Sparkle, but what is an oesophageal spasm. As my dear hubby just pointed out i ate fried food yesterday and my tummy was upset afterwards( i'll never learn), so the anxiety of tummy being in so much pain probably causing chest pain

Thanks sparkle, that sounds exactly like what happened. Pill worked and pain is eased a lot and I feel a lot better now so obviously not heart attack, but the feelings are real and very scary. Thanks for replying it means a lot

Will try the gaviscon too Sparkle. Didn't know you could take both. I will try anything to prevent a repeat of yesterday, common sense tells me if the pain went way it's not heart related but as you well know when anxiety strikes common sense is no where to be found
