From the earlier posts Jeshiekah I see that you are in your twenties and that you had chemo for cancer. The odds of falling pregnant after chemo are far greater if you are under 30 at the time of treatment. Please let us know the outcome of the test!

Ok I have another question!! Does femoston have any way of interfering with a pregnancy test? Could it show a false positive for example??? Xx

OR could the hormone the pregnancy test is looking for be elevated anyway due to menopause?!

I just got a positive test and I don't want to get too excited if it doesn't mean anything.

I think that the result can differ depending on what age you are although this may change due to the fact that you have had chemo in the past leading to early menopause. It seems quite complicated and I would think you definitely need the advice of a GP on this as you can't accurately measure the amount of HCG you are producing and how quickly it is rising which seems to be the definitive test?

I think that you are wise to be cautious but wait your update with bated breath!

Agreed. I'm going to phone my HRT clinic first today as they probably know a bit more. If nothing from them then I'll go to my GP. Sometimes the HRT clinic is a bit too busy. I think I need gradually blood testable or something to find out what's going on. Xx

I'll definitely let you know how I get on. Tried calling my hrt clinic at Uclh this morning burn no one ever answers. Grr! I thought it'd be best to go through them rather than my GP as they know my background a bit more. But if they don't answer it looks like I'll have to just call GP. The only other thing I could do is call my cancer clinic?! X

So the HRT clinic said it's fine to go through GP so I'm going to see them tomorrow. And registered with the maternity thing around here, it's all new to me as we've only moved here recently too. Extra confusion. Basically they'll now sort out the tests I need to confirm the pregnancy xxx

I just spoke with a doctor at the HRT clinic over the phone. She seems to think that the tests are definitely positive and wants to get me into their clinic for a scan. So gonna get a call tomorrow to arrange that. But also going to see my GP so he knows what's going on too.
