As oestrogen levels drop off the body may become dry: inside and out: nostrils, deep in the ears, skin, vagina as well as muscles might become lax = aches and pains. My periods become intermittent over 2/3 years. I would go for months without, then have a few then nowt until I suddenly realised that they had gone. I had a few flushes (more like a damp glow down my back) after my evening bath, also my skin would itch.
