Menopause Matters magazine ISSUE 81 out now. (Autumn issue, September 2025)
Amitriptyline is being given for nerve pain I assume ?Is there a reason you have been offered this instead of local oestrogen/ HRT ? as the problem with amitriptyline is it's drying , side effects very often dry mouth what dries our mouth dries our vaginas , all mucosal membranes. However if you are on local oestrogen/ HRT etc then yes some do use it .
It does help some yes 40% is average with these " nerve pills"can take upto three months to work , some prefer noratriptyline.Have you thought about the estring ?

I am using 5 Vagifem a week at the moment. VA seems erratic, some good days and some bad. Would like to stabilise it.
