Yes agreed Annie and CLKD. And my hat's off to these brave women who were willing to be interviewed and photographed, I couldn't have done it as much as I want people and medics to acknowledge the problems that can't be fixed.
Who knows about Ulrika but it sounds like Marion Gluck style stuff. Good luck to her anyway and Carol. Every woman deserves a break from this cr*p. xxx

looks far too simplistic for my liking, doesn't tell it like it really is for many women.  And, of course, the women represented have clearly had professional styling and make up for the photos.

I sometimes wonder if they are 'real' women so I looked up one of them on Facebook and she's posting all about her interview but strangely she says it was about joys of ageing...not the menopause?! It appears she gives quite a lot of interviews and does 'filming'.

Well ladies I will be out there soon well and truly telling all about the horrors of VA , plus photos of me and my dogs.

We HAVE to start talking about menopause and especially VA , as my life has changed so much because of it , and not for the better.

I am not at all embarrassed, to me it's just another body part that has gone wrong / suffering due to menopause the last taboo.

BTW not a tabloid newspaper / magazine.

Just read the article, thanks for posting as not a paper I ever read. However, my mum suffered terribly with anxiety & depression when I was around 4 years old. She had me late in life, which may well have kick started her meno journey. Although I was aware of certain things about her at that time, like not being able to take me to school, it wasn't until I was in my mid teens that she told me. I suspect VA was also a problem as she was always searching for savlon for her sore bits.

We are lucky we have this forum & can discuss many of these issues. I often hope that the next generation of women will be so much better informed about the menopause. They are even advertising things like vagisan on tv now. Mind you they've probably been advertising similar things in the US for years, they seem to advertise everything!  ;)
