Wouldn't really want everyone who knows me to know how bad I am actually feeling, if there was no name or photo then would have seriously thought about it, shame the magic that worked for Carol doesn't work that quick for all of us suffering like she did  :'(

I don't think the guy would have wanted my story. They'd have to print it in an extra supplement....... :o

Oh Tempest darling - I know. It's just not fair.

He sounded pretty horrified when I told him my symptoms. I didn't give my real name. I was so torn though as I wanted to represent us all, and yet I didn't want to be 'outed' to people who don't know the half of it.

Shall we all write a joint letter to Cathy Abernathy? What would we want to happen? xxx

Do we actually beleive what she said.....don't forget she is getting paid for this....

Perhaps I haven't mentioned I really don't like her one little bit.

I take all these Z list celebrity stories with a very large pinch of salt.

As for the Sun newspaper......wouldn't even wrap my chips in it never mind have my name in it. The term Newspaper is a bit of a stretch of the imagination anyway.

Mrs Brown.

Oh, gosh! Where should we start?!? I think for me the most alarming thing has been that even the most seasoned professionals I have seen did not acknowledge the huge emotional impact that menopause has on women. It's ALL about treating vasomotor symptoms. Aaaaargh!!

Things I have had said to me are 'if your vasomotor symptoms were under control, your mood would be better'. Nope!!!! Hot flushes are NOT the trigger - if it was dealing with copious sweating and that was the only symptom, I don't think many of us would be on this forum. And, 'if your nights sweats were under control, you could share a bed with your husband and intimacy would return'. You. Have. To. Be. Sh##ting . Me.....!!!! >:( >:(

Tempest - yes it would be like exams at school 'can I have supplementary sheets please?'

Oh dear Tempest you know I'm there with you in spirit. Every word you say is so true.

Yes if only it were just sweats you're right most of us wouldn't be here on the forum.

Thinking of you so much. Louise seems a very understanding and dedicated doctor.

Intimacy? As you say You. Have. To. Be. Sh##ting . Me.....!!!!  ;D But the hardest thing is I really want to want to. xxx

I was going to say I wouldn't put copies of the media under my chickens to roost over at night  :-X ...... and celebrities can get almost instant treatments etc. etc. etc. ........... it's good that meno problems are more 'out there' however .....

Did I read right that Ulrika got tailor-made hrt according to her blood levels ?

I get resentful of celebs when they boast things with no explanation.  That Sarai (sp?) off Loose Women gave an emotional speech how she doesn't want sex etc and I followed her closely for updates, then she went in Celebrity big Brother claiming she's 'cured' and gagging for sex.  Well 'hello!' You now owe us a frigging explanation exactly what the cure is !!!

I like Ruth Langsford but if she boasts once more 'this is all my own hair' I'll swing for her, it leaves people like me who meno has destroyed the hair feeling even worse !
