Just when I thought I was going to have to ride this out without any hope of improvement from my HRT my amazing GP has given me a glimmer of hope.
When I told him about my visit to the consultant and how I felt it had been a waste of time - you are on a stable dose of hrt (75mg estradot +utro) your estradiol level is ok at 280pmol, things should be supressed, it's not your hormones, take ADs and beta blockers, you don't fit the normal pattern, I will do whatever you want!!!!! -
My lovely GP asked if there was anyone else I could see/speak to. I live in the North East of England so we don't have many options. The nearest is Dr Currie in Dumfries. He promptly said he would refer me to her and will ask her to see me as soon as possible. I was so happy as I know I will get the very best of her knowledge and advice. There has to be something that can help me as I am at rock bottom and facing the prospect of loosing my job.
Just wanted to share so that others in the same situation can benefit from a really understanding GP. He also gave me something to help with sleep and was also prepared to help with the nausea but I declined this as the hideous nausea recently has now disappeared.
Best wishes to you all xx
