muscle twitch/palpitations?
« on: December 24, 2016, 08:52:19 AM »

Hi ladies,

I haven't been on here for a while. I've been coping well generally with perimeno symptoms, anxiety etc. The Estelle duet has helped with my periods, flooding, irregularity and flushes, etc.

I do yoga most mornings and have found this helps. Over the years and particularly since menopause sympoms started, I've had ectopic heartbeats from time to time. Had a heart scan at one point (about 5 years ago, following an ecg). The palpitations were considered harmless, exacerbated by pretty bad anaemia. I've learned to live with them coming and going.

This morning, shortly after waking, in bed with a cup of coffee (and hubby!) I had a strange twitch in the centre of my chest but more to the left. It felt like a muscle twitch, but the location unnerved me. I didn't feel any jump of the heart as I normally do, but this felt deep inside. It happened off and on for about twenty minutes. Have done yoga and think I felt it once. For some reason, it's worrying me. Maybe it's because it's Christmas and I'm at work later (until 9.30pm). I'm thinking is this a weird kind of palpitation, or muscular? Anyone experienced these? It feels almost like when your eyelid twitches (only bigger!) Could be I've pulled a muscle doing yoga :)

Should I panic? Family think I'm a hypochondriac since I hit this "certain age" as it is :)

Love to all!

I have been twitching  for over 30 years mostly face but really anywhere on my body. The weirdest are def chest/abdominal twitches as they feel inside whereas most facial ones you can see happening but the trunk of body ones you can't actually see just feel.

I also have super ventricular tachycardia and ectopics. This feels totally different to benign twitches.  With the svt I can feel intense fluttering in centre of chest and I feel faint but never faint, the fulttering sensation is my heart going from say 76bpm up to 180bpm but only for a very short time. the ectopics are more of a thump sensation in the chest/throat.  both of these can be felt in my pulse if I feel it at the same time.
