Hi cjmca
I am not an expert on these.... but when in your cycle were they taken? Also remind us of where you are in menopause - peri or post?
Testosterone testing is unreliable because our readings are at the lower end of the scale for testing which - from what I was told by gynae - is designed for the higher levels that men have. She told me it was better to go on symptoms - low libido in particular even when on adequate HRT and especially when taken cyclically (ie not prog all the time), and if not taking other meds like ADs which can lower libido - is the best indication.
TSH looks good!
FSH also indicates peri-menopause or taking oestrogen HRT which depresses FSH - so probably no point in testing this when on HRT - not sure?
LH - I really don't know about this but that level is not extreme:
From GP Notebook:
LH levels
• 0.15 pre-pubertal
• 0.5-9 males
• 0.5-14.5 females follicular and luteal phase
• 16-84 at ovulation
• 17-75 postmenopausal
(Ref ranges vary between labs)
Estradiol - is a healthy level if you are post-menopausal and your levels are not varying. If still peri then depends where in cycle it was taken - this is not high for pre-ovulatory peak! If yuou are feeling well - without flushes and sweats and have sufficient energy etc then this indicates that oestrogen level is fine. I have read ( sorry can't find where) that HRT aims to average out the estradiol levels of the avergae menstrual cycle so in the region of 300 ish pmol/l give or take 50 pmol/l or so! However some women need more than this to feel OK, and some are fine on less - like me!
What does your doc say?
Does that help? Others may offer a different viewpoint!
