Got back from sunny Spain at 3 am this morning!! Had a great time - walked nearly 90 km on self-guided walking holiday on the S coast in a beautiful unspoilt national park and then finished up in Granada - such a beautiful city with views of the Alhambra Palace and snow-capped mountains of Sierra Nevada. We took our eldest son with us too (late 20's) and he also really enjoyed it. Managed to understand and speak some Spanish too (have been learning on the computer). So hot out there and freezing back here!  We flew from Malaga airport and temperature yesterday at just before midnight was 25 deg! Too tired to read the forum now but catch up with how you all are during the week :)

;D …… is it the thought of the washing on your return or will you get it laundered by the Hotel?  Might be worth it ;-).

Got home yesterday after a 3 night cruise on Royal Caribbean brand new ship, it was lovely to be on the first cruise. I have been on cruise holidays before so knew what to expect but I still felt jittery before leaving home but once that passed I had a great time.

We sailed on Thursday from Southampton arrived in Rotterdam on Friday morning, had a wander around the lovely modern market then strolled back to the ship. On Saturday we just cruised very very slowly back to Southampton so we had lots of time on board to enjoy the dining and shows and watch the gambling in the casino. It was the shortest cruise we have done and would have liked another day or two because the ship had lots of lovely restaurants that we didn't get to try.

Yes very calm unlike our fjords cruise a few years ago when crossing the North Sea it was so rough it was difficult to walk in a straight line  :o
