Hi Littleminnie!

Oh, we loved San Fran as a place - but it was extremely difficult to drive round, and the parking was crazy money, like $36 per day!

It was great to see the bridge, clothed in the famous fog one day then in sunshine another, the streetcars were great fun, our teens hung off the side a few times!

We liked seeing the seals at Pier 39, and Fisherman's Wharf was good fun.
We did Alcatraz on a night tour as well - that was fabulous, so atmospheric.
If you go I'd recommend paying to stay right in the thick of things, we made the mistake of staying just a little way out, but boy, those vertical hills are hard to walk up!

We had 3 nights there then set off back towards LA via the Pacific Coast Highway stopping off at Pismo Beach and Monterey.....ahhhh.... seems like forever ago!
We had mixed views on Vegas, might be the hotel we were in. Where did you stay?
