Elleste Duet 2mg
« on: November 25, 2015, 06:52:43 PM »

Evening all,
I'm confused - yes again.  I've just been reading the information booklet from inside the box and it says the tablets are "for post menopausal women only.  Surely that means they are for women who haven't had a period for a year?  I am having relatively regular periods - is this right?

It depends which sort you've been given as Elleste is available for post-menopause and peri. There is Elleste Duet 1/10, 2/10 ( for peri) and Elleste Duet conti for post-menopause. If you are having fairly regular periods and nowhere near menopause and have been given the latter (ie the conti type with just one kind of tablet to be taken all the time) then this is incorrect - unless the gynae or doctor had a good reason to prescribe it (ie continuous progestogen)?

Thanks Hurdity, so it must be the same instructions for all three packs which is confusing when it mentions postmenopause

Yes I'm on Elleste duet Conti and haven't had a period for over a year (I think) can't remember how long but know its not since this side of Christmas!  so no bleed hrt!  sounds like there are other versions with a bleed!
