Health Anxiety

Good morning ladies :)

I have goodish days and badish days, my health anxiety goes from one part of my body to the next! At the moment its my mouth! The last time I visited my dentist I  asked about some enlarged bumps at side of my tongue....he had a good luck and said ignore them and I have for 9 months but my anxiety has reared its ugly head! I know a dental surgeon would know signs of oral cancer but that doesn't register at the mo! Not helped by programmes that come on TV about people dying of cancer and donating their body to science :-\ It rules my life and then Im ok for a couple of weeks.....so fed up of this >:(

I'm with you too, since I had a genuine cancer scare after a mammogram and then meno truly hit I have lurched from one possible cancer to another. It drives me nuts. Its as if my brain has to have something to whittle over. I cannot see a day when this will stop. Its like I have voice that goes 'what if' or 'that might be'.
I really wish I had an answer.

We have a health anxiety thread but this hasn't been mentioned there: I have 2 'lumps' which are soft one 1 side of my mouth …….. I think it's where my teeth and mouth meet  ::)
