Me
- bathed, sweetly smelling, wide awake
What do you do if you are unable to sleep? Is your area noisy?

I go to bed as late as possible because I tend to only sleep for around five hours - I wake up lots of times during the five hours though - and if I go to bed at 11 then I am awake from 4 which seems too early to begin the day. If I go to bed at 1 then I am ready to get up at 6 which seems a much more reasonable time.

Have you tried anything to help you sleep better, Menomale? For a few months now, I've kept a bottle of magnesium spray (got it on Amazon) by my bedside and been using some first of all to help get me so sleep in the first place and then to help me get back to sleep if I wake up. I don't know if it's coincidence but since then I've been sleeping more soundly, been waking more refreshed and have definitely had more energy during the day. Like you, I was getting pretty desperate for more sleep and this seems to have made a difference. That and not allowing myself to start thinking anxious thoughts late at night (last night's success story!)

I'm much better now that I am back on HRT as the night sweats have almost disappeared. I find that as long as I get five hours sleep (albeit waking up every forty/fifty minutes) then I can function. The earlier I went to bed the worse it was. I've never been a good sleeper. I do get to sleep quickly for which I'm grateful!
