I've just woken up with a feeling of doom and had an anxiety attack....thought I was going to have a heart attack....My heart feels sore and burning.....had loads of trapped wind last night so can this be the cause?.....Have settled a little bit now as took Valium, so, so sick f this crap....also thought maybe did too much yesterday or maybe due to the sun or which we've not seen for a while or dehydration.... Or low blood sugar.....oh who bloody knows...damn peri!!!!

I hope managed to get back off to sleep, nothing worse than having to get up after a bad night. Hate that tired feeling all day.

Could be low blood sugar or as you say any damn thing ! However low blood sugar could be possible and that's easy to combat ,make sure you eat something last thing before bedtime, cheese and crackers and milky drink, small ham sandwich whatever. And as you say dehydration remember to drink lots through the day not just when thirsty.. hope this helps.

Hello TropicalVon69.
I just wanted to send you hugs and sympathy.
I know what a horrible roller coaster ride this time in our lives can be but as many ladies have said, it does pass.
We women are strong because we have to be, small comfort I know but at least we have each other!
Take care and I hope your day improves.
K.

Thanks for the support kathleen...it means so much....I feel so upset for my kids....they are used to a chilled out, active and engaged mum and these hormones make this impossible at the moment....thanks to you and all the supportive women here sharing, advising and caring....hope you're having a good day :-) x

Beta blockers are really helpful for anxiety attacks.
Have you considered them.

Low blood sugar or the body suddenly becoming hungry can cause that awful adrenaline surge which wakes us - if I wake suddenly I feel queasy and immediately wonder if I'm ill or ……….
Dextrose tabelts? Ginger biscuits? by the bed ……...

Did you sleep last night?
Eating a biscuit each time you go across the landing before going back to sleep might help.
