Thank you. Today I've booked to see my nutritionist see what I can do with my diet. Which is a start. Restart my power walking but only a few times a week. Keep on top of things and busy

Hi blossom, sending u hugs, such a stressful time but it will pass, questions will be answered, treatments finished and you will look back and wonder how you got through it!  Until then take one day at a time try not to look too far ahead.....not easy all of the time! Are there any cancer charities in your area for you to avail of free therapies such as massage, reflexology or counselling if u want it?  Also the charity Breast cancer care have a support line that u can ring and arrange to speak to someone who has had a similar breast c to yourself OR if you just need to talk.

I've just read an article in the DM about Anastacia who was ten years ago diagnosed with breast cancer also suffers from Crohns and then had secondary cancer and mastectomy. What an inspiration there is someone out there with Crohns and had breast cancer like me

Hi

I dip into tired then a burst of ok. My chest is driving me nuts with the nerve sensation coming back it's like continuous pins and needles. My armpit and arm are still sore but nowhere near as bad. I think I'm subconsciously stressed but trying to manage my way through it

I am at the IBD clinic tomorrow and Oncology Thursday afternoon and Thursday morning Anticoagulant clinic

Guys I start my chemotherapy on 13 November, quite a hurdle to get over but it will be done.  Been busy sorting out medications and wigs, and all other hospital visits etc

Today was a good day and I passed my Mod 2 motorcycle test so now I can wear the big pants and ride the big bikes, I'm grinning from ear to ear

"Hi everyone I've been for my results of my mastectomy and I'm trying to come away positively.  Removal of breast has got rid of the cancer.  They noted a few cells on joth lymph nodes so the next appointment is with the oncologist with my options

The cancer is slow stage 2  and plan is not to remove the other nodes but use radiotherapy on breast and arm pit.  Also give me tablets too.  In addition if necessary chemotherapy.  All of this is a belt and braces preventative treatment. "


Chemotherapy or radiation treatment  :-\. 

From what you initially said, you were going to have radiation treatment which is how I was treated, as a preventative measure.  My lymph nodes were clear ……… fortunately.  I was never offered chemo because it wasn't necessary.  I did have 4 weeks radiation treatment - initially the Ongologist measured where I would need the laser beam to guide the radio-beam and I was given 3 small tattoos …….. and a steroid cream as the area became sunburnt.  Not badly but required treatment.  I went every week day at the same time.  It took longer to get undressed than to have the treatment  ::)

No I start Chemotherapy on 13 November with 6 sessions followed by radiotherapy then hormone treatment that's all I know
