Yes, but it was that the worse that could happen was some bleeding, uti not the pain I'm in.  this is the first time I've been unable to work, drive, go out etc. it's awful.

That kind of pain is tiring too.  Have you taken any pain relieve after your lunch?

Nurofen. I have the cocdamal at night.
This isn't a normal reaction.  The consent form only had minor problems. This isn't minor. At the moment it has stopped my life.  I came on here to see if there was any possibility the cream would help but this has caused complications.

Maybe let the oral medication do it's job first.  Settle symptoms then when you've spoken to the Gynae on Wed. ask the question - by then symptoms should be easing.  Feet up to ease any stabbing whilst sitting?  Bicarb bath?  There's a lot of nerves there as you are finding  and add to that the danger of sneezing, coughing ………

Yes thank you & I have to get the bicarbonate. Been using sachets. How often do you have and how much in glass.

Peterspots - I'me sorry you're having such a horrible time.
It's difficult to know what to suggest.
You appear to discount things that are suggested either by people here (local oestrogen).
Or indeed by others (your consultant). "I don't think he listened to me as my problem is pain not frequency. The medicine is for overactive bladder which I don't have"  .....

You say you "have friends who have had their lives transformed with ADs"
Fair enough, request some ADs then, though I believe they are not without their own problems.
Do you have any particular ADs in mind?

BTW - I've just seen your comment re taking co-codamol at night. Personally I find co-codamol very drying and wouldn't be surprised if that aggravated any existing bladder pain or discomfort.

Hello. Thank you. The AD comment was because CLKD said she had been on them & I was saying that they are positive for some people like my friend. I do want to try the oestrogen cream desperately. I am hoping it's going to be my saviour. The only tab I was unsure of was the anti spasmodic the uro prescribed over the phone because of the pain I have since cysoscopy.

It used to scare the pants off me if the GP suggested some new medication ………. but it's probably wise to give it a try because so many help conditions not originally developed for

Will miss out the cocodamal. I thought the comments re inflamed are re oestrogen & camera made sense & the urologist said it was more gynae. It's the problem I've been left with after camera that is difficult at mo but maybe it will take me longer. My urethra hurt so much when he went in

Makes me wince to think about such a procedure!  Difficult for the Surgeon though and when it's done to a bloke  oh I could tell some tales ……….  ……. OUCH springs to mind.

When I want to wee I don't feel it in my tummy (usual place before this) but I feel it low down by the bit that hurts .......maybe urethra/bladder.

Is that an experience with VA or oestrogen probs with bits.

I haven't gone to the toilet for about 4 hours but the only sensation I have is very low down

You probably aren't passing enough urine anyway.  I feel my bladder 'full' between my belly button and bikini area.  Then when the urine flows any pain was through the tube, followed by a short, sharp reflex nip underneath at the end of the pee - I could point to it but can't describe the exact area.  That was the start of vaginal atrophy for me ……. the only relief I could get was to sit on the loo so that all muscles were relaxed which allowed urine to flow; with a cuppa in one hand and diluted barley water in the other  .  Add to that the feeling of needing to wee all the while but being too sore to do so!

Thank you. I didn't feel the urge to go except the sore area lo down. There was a lot of wee. I counted 30 as in 1,2,3

That's quite a lot but I didn't feel the urge at all. It doesn't hurt to wee. It afterwards I get a kick. In the sore & after the cysoscopy my urethra.
