I had mine chopped a little shorter on my last visit... It's now at my jaw line... a layered bob which I can tuck behind my ears if I feel like it. It looks a little 1930s.

This time last year I had much longer hair and decided to have a change.  :)

Wish I could do that, Galadriel.  Unfortunately, my ears aren't flat enough, so I keep them hidden....  >:(

I used to wear a bob years ago at various lengths. Nowadays short hair suits me better. Now similar to Judy Murray's style.

It's not what suits me, it's more what my hair is prepared to do! I've had the same hairdresser for many years. I've seen him through divorce, new relationship, lung cancer, recovery and taught his kids. He now cuts my DH's hair (chance to talk football) and used to cut my children's hair. He knows it's pointless in trying to persuade my hair to do what he or I want, just have to let it do it's own thing. Stubborn hair, but at least I have hair! Plus my hair has retained it's colour and when I do eventually go grey, I shall be prepared to do so gracefully.

I'm still growing out my grey silver roots. I think it'll be at least another year before the very faded brown dye is finally gone. When my just below shoulder length hair is tied up (thanks to the use of hair straighteners on my fringe and any other free ends) it looks sleek and sophisticated (old colour is only in the bun/ponytail now) but when loose it resembles an orange and grey wild frizzy nest!  ;D

I wish I could find a hairstyle that me and my hair agree on! My hair usually wins and I end up having to wash it to subdue it!

Tomorrow is the day. I fear the words that will come out of my mouth will be....just a good tidy up and thin it down because it's got a bit thick.

Oh I do wish I was a whole lot braver  ::)

I'm the opposite, HB - mine always needs thickening up, hence the layers!

A number of online sites have styles. Pictures are always helpful when trying to change style.

Do they talk about face shapes, hair thickness and things like that, cubagirl?   These can make or break a hairstyle.  My hair is fine and my face shape is long-ish.  Can't wear long, or one-length, or angular etc.. :-\

Some do Dulciana. Some you have to pay for though & some you can add picture of yourself & "try styles on" like a hat.  I usually take a few variations to hairdresser & let him decide most suitable for my hair etc. Been going to him for years.
