Make that two  ;D

I told my mother today that I had booked a holiday and that the kids were coming with us. Her reaction was typical mother.......oh you will not get a rest.
What she fails to understand is we have fun together and they are going to be there because they want to be there.

What I haven't told her is I'm also going in April and September....hey ho this is going to cause such a lot of bother  ::)

Might just send a post card  ::)

The thought of going all the way till June without a break from mothers is enough to drive me nuts so hence another holiday.....probably a caravan. I love a caravan.

GD  I believe Harry Potter world is even more fabulous now. Wands which "cast spells" the train & walking through the pillar at train station. Son and GF going to Florida at end of April & spending first couple of days at Universal.

OMG... now I really can't wait. We have 191 days, 5 hours, and 11 minutes till take-off!!! :bouncing:

HB - my grandparents lived in Dumfries and Galloway - we spent many a school holiday there. My favourite place is Port Patrick  :) I agree with drip-feeding your mum information  ;)

rosedbud57 - Your cruise sounds lovely... plenty of opportunity for wine tasting? DH and I are looking at river cruises for next year.

Babyjane - it's one of our favourite areas!  Brighton and Lewes for antiques and good food, Rye for architecture - inland to Petworth/House …… long walks on the Brighton Prom. …….. there's an anqurium and the Pavilion for rainy days

I think the husband wants to go to Rye as it is where 'Mapp and Lucia' was filmed and he liked the look of it.

Would welcome any suggestions for good places to eat.  No rush, not going until June  :)

Hi Cubagirl, I wasn't there so have only seen the photos but she was wearing a ballerina style tutu and he was wearing an Hawaiian shirt - a slightly unconventional pair to say the least  ???

Babyjane, Rye is lovely, exactly as it appeared in 'Mapp and Lucia'. I loved that, their horrible rictus grins  :)
