Hi there, I use Zantac too, or its generic Ranitidine (a lot cheaper), works well for me, I get a bit of reflux when I'm anxious, and then I worry about damaging my esophagus

...more anxiety...
I have a repeat prescription for Fybogel Meberverine, use it twice a day for IBS symptoms, I know if i miss it for a few days my system seems to slow down and feels like it's 'backing up'.
I did try Omepazole but it caused bad bloating and constipation, probiotics are good I think, I have some expensive ones in the fridge which I always forget to take and are prob out-of-date now though

The Zantac/Ranitidine are good, you take them only twice a day, I don't know about long-term use but seem to calm things down in times of need
"Ranitidine is in a group of drugs called histamine-2 blockers. Ranitidine works by reducing the amount of acid your stomach produces.
Ranitidine is used to treat and prevent ulcers in the stomach and intestines. It also treats conditions in which the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Ranitidine also treats gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions in which acid backs up from the stomach into the esophagus, causing heartburn"...from Drugs.com
It does get depressing having to rely on drugs though doesn't it, to make the body work the way it used to xx
