With 5 we wouldn't be able to turn around either - I think we ought to rent out the space.

We wish we had opted for a bigger shower cubicle, DH because he wants to wash my back, so he says naughty boy or rather dirty old man  ;D, and me cos it's such a pain to clean. So many nooks and crannies in a small space.  ::)

We have various shower sprays but they seem to miss my body as the shower was put in for the height of the tallest user  ::). I also have a dimmer switch over the cubicle  ;)

One shower head here that you can hold and direct in any direction. No fancy stuff, but it works.

When I get under the shower head and turn on, the first blast is cold  :-\ - do you have a switcher on thingy outside the cubicle?  We stand outside until the water heats up enough.

Flashing light on the controls, so you press the button, close the doors and wait till it stops. Does the job, but if I had the money, I would redesign the room. One day maybe. Looks good though.

Is that waiting in the cubicle or outside, away from the jet of water  :-\

I did: re-design our bathroom  ;) - DH said it couldn't be done so I asked our Builder, we got our heads together and hey presto! and I love it - that was eversomany years ago, probably 9 ……….

Outside the cubicle! No room to duck out the way! Time enough to check your weight! Obviously we redesigned the bathroom when we got rid of the bath. We have lovely cupboards surrounding the basin, so you can hide all those bits and pieces. But I would sacrifice that not to have a cubicle difficult to clean. We will do it one day as when you get older it helps to have room for a seat. Or if you break a bone as DH did a couple of years ago. You learn by using what works well.

I've been washing with Epidaderm emulsifying ointment recently. I have very dry skin and washing with cheaper emulsifying ointments instead of shower gel really helped, but started to find they irritated my nether regions, so I did some research......well, read the ingredient list more carefully! Contains SLS. More expensive ones don't, so tried this one and no irritation.

Every time I read the title of this thread I have a giggle to myself.

My dear, poorly old dad was being asked by a one of the health care assistants about his skin which was becoming quite fragile. She asked him what he put in his bath as she was concerned that he may have been using a bath product which was giving him "the itches" as he called it. I can see him now fixing her with his twinkly old eyes and saying "What do I put in me bath? What sorta question's that? What do I put in me bath? Well, that's a rum 'un. Do you really want to know what I puts in me bath? Well... let me have a think dear... ah yes.. I remember..I puts WATER in it a'course. What do you put in yours?"  before giving me a wink and closing his eyes.
