I usually shower unless I am aching really badly when a bath helps.  But I'd have to use something to wash with as I'd stink if I only used water.  It's bad enough with soap...sometimes I have to wash THREE times before I don't smell any more.  I was thinking of offering my underarm sweat to the government as a weapon of chemical warfare... :o

Epsom salts = magnesium sulphate. Good for aches and pains and sleep.

Apparently.   :thankyou:  we used to bath in them after a sponsored walk, of which I did several  ::) and used meths on our feet to 'harden' the skin ready for all those miles.

Mustard was used when we had a cold.  Zinc and caster oil ……. for cuts and bruises.  Germolene ……..

You can stand up to use soap, then rinse and get out. It's sitting in soapy water that's not great.

Soap is drying. Bubble bath can contain sodium lauryl sulphate which is the same foaming agent that's used in floor cleaner and you wouldn't put that on your skin willingly.

Stands to reason that your bits suffer if they have to sit in that kind of environment  :o

So what do we do, girls?
Do I want to smell of mustard, meths or epsom salts, to put my Hubby in the mood?
Looks as though it's either sense or scent!!   ::)

So if I use soap in the shower, I should be ok?  That's a relief.  I have a really strong sense of smell & it's driving me round the bend at the moment.  The soap I use is glycerine based and doesn't seem to dry my skin much - I started using it for my psoriasis as I found shower gels etc too drying.

Try to look for natural stuff....avoid SLS as its awful stuff and so bad for your skin.

I can't remember the last time I had a bath because it makes things feel dried up and sore....and I use Vagifem.
My daughter uses all sorts of stuff and then complains of itching. Is is any wonder.

I was always told....never use soap on your face, so I never have because it's so drying.....it must have the same effect on the rest of our body. Not good at this time I think.

I don't use soap except on my personal places  ;) but I do like to laze in the bubbles [good quality] and when I shower I stand there for ages  ::) ……… other than the bath cube thingies nothing makes me itch unless I don't dry my skin completely …….

Epsom salts are also good for thrush and eczema.

I have to make sure that my underarms are completely free of hair or I whiff.  Also if we eat spicy foods I can smell it on my skin  ::)
