Evorel Sequi - Bad Day
« on: August 27, 2014, 08:10:33 PM »

:'( somedays all symptoms just get to you, Im sure many of you will appreciate this, tonight I feel like crying, Im on day two of the second sequi patch and my anxiety is back and getting to me, lack of sleep is awful, I don't like this part of the hrt at all, and I know Im not alone, Im going to email Dr Currie for advice, though the ladies on here are so knowledgeable and helpful, I hope I may have been a help to some ladies as I completely understand what they are going through, I think for me the worst symptoms are anxiety and night sweats (also back), lack of sleep is awful especially with work the next day! I also find my asthma worst, though this doesn't seem to be a common thing, and I know its daft but I stress about blood clots and heart attack too, moan over Im having a bad day!

Perhaps a change of progesterone would be the best thing for you.

Try and give it the full three months though before you ask for a change. Chopping and changing too soon confuses things.

I cant sleep , get hot and my head is all over the place- ladies I'm on the averol sequi 50 - I'm only quite recently been in peri do you think trying 25 would help?? Thank you all- i love the oestrogen but this part is horrible! Xx

I replied to your other post but you really do need to give it three months before you know whether it will suit you or not then, after that, you can go back to your GP and ask for a different type. You're about to start the oestrogen only part again so things will soon be looking up.

thanks again Taz and Karin, unfortunately don't start back on the estrogen until a week Saturday roll on, Karin Im the same, sleepless nights due to sweats and anxiety, though not so many flushes in the day, but its the other funny effects that worry me, I get food cramp, leg aches and I think blood clot, silly but cant help it, and chest pains and then I think heart attack scary! I also find my head all over the place and find it hard to concentrate at work, I worry about my job then, vicious circle really, I also feel like I look like a mad women walking round as I feel Im starting to look as if all this is taking its toll, todays another day hope its a good one, Karin maybe its it pmt with me as I burst out crying last night also, joy! when are you back on the evorel 50? hopefully you should be fine again then x

Hello ladies.

Just wanted to offer my sympathy to karenja and karin and say I know what you are going through. I'm post meno but struggling with HRT, menopause and life in general with so much of what you are both saying resonating with me. I now officially hate female hormones, the ones I make myself and the ones I get from the chemist, I wish I could do without the lot of them.

Take care and keep posting.

Thanks kathleen
Its the lack of sleep for 5 nights that i am finding hard ( sleeping 3am till 7am when i get up for work) along with a woolly head which i didn't have before . My mum has dementia so i guess I'm  a bit scared of anything that affects thinking skills, the rest i can deal with. I don't want to sound a wimp. I phoned my lovely GP today and she said to come in this time next month and report back, and work out a plan B if symptoms not settled.
I suppose that before starting HRT i focussed on considering the big stuff like links with breast cancer and such, and didn't really consider what i now see are common side affects which do make the HRT experience perhaps not quite the panacea i thought it might be, so far. But I'm sticking with my doctors  plan because the oestrogen part is great!
