I am having a really rough time with everything down there since Christmas. To cut a very long story short, my anterior wall and tip of my urethra has been very painful for a very long time, I have just been for a second opinion and the specialist said that most pelvic pain starts off in the bladder, but is usually overlooked by the specialists. ( I am not talking about VA here ).

I am not saying you have this at all but may be of interest, as IBS also is known to cause bladder issues especially if we have had it years. The first thing he did was scan my bladder it is double the thickness it should be,and I also have e-coli. I will at sometime have to have a Cystoscopy but the infection needs to be got on top of first.
My problems originally started 20 months ago after having polyps removed from my womb, my pee samples where always clear, it was only my urethra hurting. Vagifem has made no difference. All the various people I have seen said that it was coincidence, this consultant and he is top of his field immediately said that's where it started, as they would have put a catheter in.
Now it is going to be like peeling back the layers to see what long term damage has been done, as it has set all the nerves off down there. I have not had the symptoms of an actual infection, just the painful anterior wall and urethra tip, which has put my pelvic floor into spasm. The dip stick at the GPs was clear and the hospital, but I had lots of white bits in my pee which unless coming from the vagina which mine was not, should not be in our pee.
So I am for the first time in 25-30 years going on antibiotics nutrofortin (sp), I have never had a pee infection or thrush. So this is going to be interesting.
So all I am saying is if the anterior wall feels odd, that is not normal and there is a high chance it is coming from the bladder.
I am having intensive pelvic floor physio, to try and relax the pelvic floor, and if you suspect anything wrong down there do not do pelvic floor exercise, as that is what finished me off, as I was tightening an already tightened pelvic floor that has now gone into spasm.
