Hi Briony

I am now settled I guess about 5-6 months of HRT. Luckily no more nausea, the way it was before was awful. I do get some acid stomach and slight discomfort two days before a period but this is much more manageable. I pray things stay the way they are now or even improve. I am sure HRT helped a lot.

I hope things will improve for you as well soon. Be patient and know that this is hormone related.

Thanks to you both for replying - really appreciated. I seem to get it at the same time I get fatigue, oftemn around ovulation time or else before period. I can get weird burping too at the same time  :o

When my GP tested my hormones he found my estrogen was low and suggested HRT which I have taken for a month. After three weeks, had three or four days of severe nausea and fatigue and couldn't decide if it was the normal thing and HRT not yet working, or because the HRT had clashed with my own cycle and made the oestrogen level too high. That's when I came across your posts. It's such a relief to know that I am not the only one who experiences this as it's not such a common symptom on here.

Again, so grateful for you for replying, B x

Ginger is good for nausea.  But when I'm nauseous I can't fancy anything …...

I end up living on ginger snaps, bread sticks and flat lemonade when it's bad. Hardly nutritious but it's all I can handle! X

I am a great believer in whatever you fancy when you don't feel well. Cheese & onion crisps at 3am is familiar with the kids in the past when they have been poorly & start eating again. I always think something is better than nothing. Funny as I started cravings with meno, pickled onions being the main culprit  ::)

A thing that I found works miracles - i mix equal parts of ground fresh ginger, honey and lemon juice and keep this in the fridge. I take 1 tablespoon when needed. Stops nausea immediately and tastes very nice.

Thanks. Will try that, for sure. Reminds me of what my mum used to take if she had a cold or sore throat ... except I think she added a sneaky whiskey to the mixture too  ;)
