One positive thing that's happened to day is... I woke up... in the words of my almost 95 year old friend!!

You know when you have a good sleep in a lovely bed in a hotel and you find yourself saying 'I wish I could take it home' Well we did.
I've stayed in various Premier Inns and always slept well (even the night before an exam!!). When I checked out in the morning I joked about taking the bed with me and the guy showed me the link to do just that!

So I'm going to put yesterday's I'm so pleased about it and even though I've already mentioned on my thread about it!

Drove into central London on my own for the first time ever age 62!! If I'm allowed two things - I also had the chance to meet up with a lovely friend for coffee and chat on the way, which broke the journey just at the right time

Ok... Just for you lovelies, the beds are made by Hypnos. If you want the type they supply to Premier Inn, you go via the PI site... Just google Premier Inn bed. They are made to order so you may have 6-8 weeks to wait but it's sooooo worth it.

So my positive for the day (and I'm dredging here) is that I have successfully started a new knitting project using magic round needles. After a false start yesterday, I have managed to do it right this time. Yesterday's effort turned into a möbius (a twisted figure of 8 )

I'm knitting DD a Griffindor scarf.

I led my lovely Alzheimer's support group this afternoon and they all went away laughing and smiling (there are some wonderful volunteers) which made me feel that it was all worthwhile

Hubby arrived home yesterday evening after a few days away at work and I slept like I log.

I am having lots of cuddles with my little granddaughter. She is so beautiful and tiny. She is now 5 weeks old and still weighs considerably less than her Daddy when he was born, but then he was 10lbs. She has started smiling and melts my heart. Now I am listening to the loons on the lake a few metres away. (Great Northern Divers). They make ghostly noises. We were taken out for brunch by my fellow grandmother. Lovely day.

How wonderful Ju Ju.

Just noticed a flower spike growing on my very reluctant orchid. Every time I think it's going to send up a flower spike, it turns out to be yet another root. But this one is definitely a flower spike. Woohoo! It's only taken me two years to persuade it to flower again.
