Can anyone give me any advice on how to combat morning anxiety? When I wake up I usually experience a rush of what I imagine is adrenaline, as I feel sick, anxious and scared. Plus, of course, the inevitable hot feelings that are ramping up now I have had to come of hrt which doesn't help. Every ache and pain seems exacerbated too! I have usually already been up a couple of times in the night for trips to the loo but tend to do that on auto pilot and don't notice the feelings then, just on morning waking. Any tips ladies? ..it's a horrible way to start the day!

It feels physical for me too, like that feeling you get in your stomach when you are on a rollercoaster or going down a hill.
Magnesium kills morning anxiety for me. I've been taking it a few weeks now and it's really nice to wake up and not have that horrible raw panicy feeling.
I was using mag citrate which worked well, but I went onto mag malate as the citrate gave me the runs.
I would avoid magnesium oxide, to me, its only good as a constipation aid, as only a tiny bit gets absorbed.
It does work for some people, however.
It's the most common one and when you see a tin with just magnesium on it, it's probably oxide.
I split my dose throughout the day.
You do need enough though, so you might want to gently up the dose till you find the right dose for you and you no longer wake up on red alert.
I found that once I got the right dose, it kicked in pretty much straight away and was up and running in a few days.
The time it takes to work may vary among individuals.
