Question
« on: March 31, 2014, 09:23:46 AM »

Hi girls, does anyone know if the progesterone (noresthisterone) in evorel sequi helps in any way with libido/response? It says in the menu on the left that it is testosterone based so just wondered. I've discussed it on here on another thread but am interested in any views on this as may change my progesterone. Would be grateful for your views x

Hmmm- was on it for 5 years and can't say I noticed. If anything it made me less responsive as I often felt ratty on it!

I've had one of those Mirena coils which add progesterone and can't say I've noticed any difference. What I can tell you having been on Prozac for several years some time ago is that my libido when on it completely disappeared. Yes, it took away the feeling of depression and anxiety, but took away any sexual feelings I had too. Now off it and suffering badly with anxiety, but not prepared to sacrifice my love life for it. At the end of the day, it depends how bad you feel and what is most important to you when making the decision to go on anti depressants. They are not the answer for everybody, but for some of us they may be a necessity.
