so low !!
« on: March 10, 2014, 08:40:10 PM »

Hi ladies,

Had a weired few days, my face and neck feel so hot, like its burning, and tingling,

On and of headache that just floors me and I feel exhausted and want to sleep for hours,

Today has been the hardest, I look after my 21/2 year old grandaughter on mondays , and love having her, but today I couldn't wait for her mom (my daughter) to finish work, plus I had to take her to my great nieces 2nd birthday party (not fun with bad head)  but I did it no one would how I really felt,

I just feel so low and can't get out of it my hot and tingly face is driving me insaine, I have to keep going in the bathroom to splash with cold water, but my nose is cold lol,

Anyone else had the hot tingly neck and face, if so how can I calm it down tried to ignore it but can't

No answers for you, dear, but can completely sympathize with the headache pain and taking care of grandbabies.
Less stress, more rest is the only thing I can suggest.  My heart goes out to you....  :-\

Sorry to hear you are feeling down Kazy68....me too!!!
I don't have the hot face and neck (apart from when I'm having a flush) but I've just had a migraine from hell, it lasted 3 days!! On top of uti like symptoms, the constant need to pee and pain in my back and tummy which has been ongoing for over 3 weeks, I've just about reached the end of my rope...... I've been trying to stay positive but I must admit today I've had a bloody good cry.
I think we both deserve a hug today, so  here's one for you and  this ones for me.
Hang in there lady.... Nothing lasts forever xxx

Hummingbird - have you discussed vaginal atrophy with your Practice Nurse or GP?  Have a read of the threads on VA here …….. then ask for treatment to see if your symptoms are relieved!

That will be the good old hormones! My problems are of the night time variety. Usually I am OK in the day. But I have started to get anxiety in last couple of months and that has poleaxed me. I am trying to keep busy with other things to distract me, are you able to use any distractions to take your mind off the tingly face and feeling low? It does help to stop the "menopause misery tape" playing on a loop in my head!

I feel the end of my rope approaching too, a good cry followed by singing (out of tune) at the top of my voice has been my vent today (while I was alone in the house) ;)

I am not the best at the moment. My best friend is my I phone with radio two constantley on, even when I go for a dog walk, I listen to archive dessert island discs and I find the radio really stops my mind from going into overdrive and the anxiety pangs. I have been able to sleep the last few
Nights but when I wasn't I downloaded nature sounds really helped. Steve wright in the afternoon at the mo is always jolly.x

Yes he can irritate but I don't need to think like radio four, I consider it white noise. I am listening to archive dessert island discs at the moment listening to Dawn French. I just don't like silence at the moment .going to download some talking books.

My hypnotist gave me some downloads of him with hypnosis for anxiety - I find them great especially if I feel I am going into panic mode. You can download similar thing online - it always relaxes me to the point where I can go to sleep so it's especially good at night

Thinking of you all and hope it's been a better day ladies.
The meno misery tape made me laugh lubylou, yes, I know it well, wish I could just switch it off.
Singing like a lunatic is also one of my coping strategies, along with forcing my mouth to smile and answering my negative thoughts out loud ie my brain says.... Oh god I feel terrible..... Words outta my mouth say......for gods sake, get a grip woman, you're fine...... ???
CLKD I've read all the va threads on here and some of the symptoms I can relate to, but not all of them. I have looked at my bits and I dont think it's shrunk!!!! I still make love with my hubby and it feels fine ( I'm going red here) lol not used to discussing my private life with the world, and my gp gave me an internal and said I was slightly dry, but that was normal for my age 56 and it was nothing to worry about.
My main symptoms Are the uti type eg pain in my lower back and stomach and the constant need to pee. I have been on vagifem for 2 weeks now ( because I asked for it) but it has not relieved the symptoms. Do you think it needs more time to start working?

Hi ladie,
Thanks for replies, had a few good days' head still not right but better than it was,
Woke up this morning and tingling finally gone, took a few more days than normal but thank
The lord its vanished, and I hope for a long time, been trying to keep myself busy around the house and garden, and that has helped a lot, also had a few hours resting and cat napping in the afternoon , I have felt really tired come 2pm again wish I could wake up and stay awake or even feel awake,
I feel like I'm going through puberty in reverse, my body is changing so much and not all in a good way, saggy bits not good, and weight is extremely hard to move but I keep going at it,
One day I will be slim and look back at this time of my life and be proud that I got through it,

Keep well

There is always a reason for the need to pee.  Could be a drop in hormone levels.  2-3 weeks Vagifem should see if it's helping/not.
