How do you prepare it Menomale? Is the 'nut/seed' in a shell? The article likens the flesh to citrus and cheese, is that right?

Hints please on making Yorkshires …….. Himself makes them but they don't rise: is it due to our fan oven  :-\

Is oil hot enough before mixture is put in? I see mine visibly bubbling up when oil is hot enough & Yorkshire's come out perfect.

Do you have a 'fan' oven?  I think we need a new cooker ;-)

I do have a fan oven, but doubt that makes a difference. Think it's more to do with making sure oil is really hot. I put the oil into muffin tin then put in oven for about 10 mins before I put in mixture.

Batch cooking to freeze: which dish to choose tonight? Seemed like a good idea when I started, now the kitchen looks like a bomb site and I've 4 massive pans on the go!!

;D ;D ;D Don't worry I'll be filling it soon enough. Daughter & SIL have ordered meat etc & having it sent here. I've got some frozen veg in case I can't be bothered peeling sprouts etc come the day.  ;D The supermarket will be open again on Boxing Day if I'm stuck!

Oohh it's totally yummy - Greek comfort food!

Slow cooked minced lamb with cinnamon and lots of other goodies, layered between roasted aubergines and topped with a cheesy béchamel sauce with egg beaten into it to make it rise and become light and fluffy. Lamb's been cooking since about 9.30 so it's melt in the mouth tender. There's lots here if you're up for the drive!  :)
